This is a paper folded version. I used 30x60cm duo colored Kraft paper (gold /red).
Final size: a little box 5x5x5cm, when the box is closed. When Jack pops out the height is 10cm ;-))

My local Lone Tree, less than a mile from my home. This is the first time Iâve photographed it (Iâve only lived here 44 years!).
Definitely one Iâll return to as the seasons change.
I photographed this Pectoral Sandpiper near UtqiaÄĄvik (formerly known as Barrow), way up near the Arctic Circle. This male Pectoral Sandpiper had staked out his stage, a slight rise in the tundra that isolated him perfectly from the background and elevated both his posture and his ego.
In breeding season, these sandpipers head far north and crank the drama up a notch. That puffed chest isnât a medical emergencyâitâs a built-in sound system. The male inflates air sacs in his breast to produce a deep, booming hoot, like a feathered subwoofer trying to impress the neighbors.
And the high ground? Thatâs no accident either. In the flat tundra, elevation means visibility. From this perch, he can advertise to the ladies and shout territorial warnings to rival males: âThis rise is mine, and so is the good acoustics.â
Heâs loud, proud, and dressed for the seasonâbecause in the bird world, love is war, and sometimes war is won by looking fabulous and yelling about it.

As the Sun set and the Moon rose in a clear blue sky, Patty said "Oh look, a pink moon!" and so it was. I switched the film simulation to Provia, and fired off several bursts of handheld shots with my new favorite lens. Spent way too much time Saturday aligning, cropping, upsampling, re-aligning, and stacking the 47 snaps before sliding many sliders to get this surrealist image. The White Balance hasn't changed, but exposure, curves, contrast, resolution, sharpness, and definition have been cranked or at least tweaked. All of which is to say, "Happy Sliders Sunday!" I needed some #Circles for #FlickrFriday, anyway. Maybe photorealism, next time.

Shot taken for Saturday Self Challenge 08/02/2025 - Twisted .
Well these bits of copper wire in different colours look rather straight for the " Twisted " challenge - however , they may be straight but each piece is made up of between two to five different coloured strands of wire . In the bottom left is part of the crank that is turned with the required number of pieces of wire and within seconds there is a twisted wire of varying colours ready for use in making jewellery , art pieces or whatever .

While I usually use more light than what was available, steady lighting was what was being used for the Lerro 1225 Charter night session. Pushing my camera to ISO 5000 is intense for me, but to get the speed I needed, it did the job. Making the last night pass-by, the 1225 thunders out of the dark into the light past the cleaned up Carland Elevator, creating a scene straight out of 1948.
