If there's one place that consistently takes my breath away, it'd be Cley, of course. This was a difficult shot because I was shooting into the sun. The bench looks very grand. It has a fabulous view over the marshes.

Trike Harley-Davidson. Of course I like more than the usual two-wheeled bikes, but we must also think about those who are already difficult to cope with such a technique. I remembered the movie "Sons of Anarchy": father - of red traveled on a three-wheeled bike. And our Putin, once came to the meeting with bikers in Sevastopol on this Trike Harley-Davidson.

Zao Onsen Ski Resort
蔵王温泉スキー場
Kurohime Super Giant Course, the southernmost of Zao Onsen. The top of the mountain is winter, and the ice-covered trees on both sides gradually disappear, and the foot of the mountain 1.7km away is sunny in spring. It was a fun course where you can enjoy the change in snow quality.
蔵王温泉の最も南、黒姫スーバージャイアントコース。山の上の方は冬、徐々に両サイドの樹氷がなくなり、1.7km先の麓は春の陽気。雪質の変化も楽しめる楽しいコースでした。

One of natures finest sights. A beautiful barn owl hunting at dusk a fabulous event unless of course you are a vole.

The Charlene A and crew heading out. The cabin light is on, steaming along at 7.5 knots. The fog is heavy, you can smell and taste the salt in the air. It's time to go fishing.
In Bled, we of course also had to hike to the famous Mala Osojnica viewpoint which offers one of the best views of the lake. As we wanted to capture the best light, we set our alarm very early, crawled out of bed, and dragged ourselves up the steep path, hoping for a breathtaking sunrise. We arrived at the top on time and unfortunately realized that there wasn't a single cloud in the sky and not a single patch of fog around the lake. Don't get me wrong, the views from up there are in any case breathtaking, but when you've seen so many stunning pictures, your expectations are naturally very high. Nevertheless, we continued shooting, and when the sun came out, I decided to use the giant sun star of my 16-35 mm ZA lens to add some interest to the image. Once the sun is higher in the sky, I usually stop taking pictures, but this time I was really excited about the reflection of the sun right at the water's edge, which created a second smaller sun star. In addition, the warmth of the sun caused a slight haze around the island, which I really like because it adds to the atmosphere. I hope you like it too!
Looning north just before sunset, on an exceptionally clear afternoon. Beyond the large white condo (a vacation rental) is San Simeon Point, then Point Piedras Blancas, and in the far distance the Santa Lucia range meets the sea, where Big Sur 'officially' begins.
In the foreground are Ice Age unconsolidated sands, from great dunes that spread inland during the low sea-stand when much of the ocean water was frozen into ice-sheets a mile or more thick, over Canada, New England, and much of northern Eurasia. Dry land extended to the Farallones off future San Francisco! The last Great Warming ended only about 9,000 years ago. Of course, the Earth's climate continues to warm, as does a lively debate over how much of the warming is due to humans, and how much is natural. You won't read much about the actual scientific debate, sadly, in the popular press, as this has become an item of faith among True Believers. But, geologically speaking, we're at risk of a return of the Ice -- and human CO2 emissions may help to keep that at bay. A respectable (but controversial) hypothesis.
