The Welsh Corgi is a small type of herding dog that originated in Wales. The name corgi is derived from the Welsh words cor and ci, meaning "dwarf" and "dog", respectively. Two separate breeds are recognized: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi.

I consider this to be one of Corgi's Husky's (before they rebranded to Corgi Juniors in 1969) finest models. It's delicately cast and features a high level of detailing for a toy. It includes an opening bonnet and a very smooth running suspension set up. Unfortunately the model survived the re-brand into Corgi Juniors and gained some pretty lurid colours and some oversized whizzwheels which ruined the lines somewhat.

I thought I'd draw a Corgi, as the Queen was a huge lover of the breed (and had owned more than 30 in her lifetime). I must admit if I was choosing a small dog I wouldn't mind one of these, but they are quite hard to get hold of. Tim's Mum had one called Janie when he was growing up.
