Cali taking a rest from a walk, having a [ cool down ] dip in the water pools on the Talsarnau Estuary walk on Monday evening.
A stunning evening, with views of Portmeirion in the background.

Theme: Cool Down
It does not often get very hot here on the Northern CA coast but sometimes a nice cool shower is called for 😊

The weather is getting warmer and this is why I go through my winter photo folders ❄️️
It's like a mental cooldown 😎
This power plant once served the adjacent steelworks that nowadays still is operational. This pump house ensured constant cooling of the immense gas turbines. Founded in the 1890s and revolutionary for the time. There was a time when up to 9 gas turbines were active, some with more than 600HP.
I took the photo several years ago. This small pump house immediately caught my attention because of the great disrepair. The moss, the collapsed roof, and the industrial look of the space are just amazing. These are the places I really love.

Have you ever had one of those days when someone was so rude and mean to you that you wanted to explode? You managed to control yourself, thanks to your upbringing, where you treat the people who are treating you badly with respect and calmness? Your mood starts with anger (happily not uncontrollable), then your brain goes into gear and you start cooling down, after which you try and rationalize the situation, which takes you into the calming down phase and finally to being able to accept what has happened and as you cool down you can even find a way at laughing at the whole ordeal? Well I had that situation today and it is quite fun to visualize it creatively, I hope that you enjoy my work and get a laugh out of it. Because laughter makes everything better!!!!
HMAM😊😊😍
With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating and stay safe! ❤️❤️❤️
The Scottish Highlanders are also suffering from the heat. In the North Holland dunes, there are plenty of small ponds to cool off.

Its been super muggy here lately, and just this morning I read a news story about people in Arizona being treated for significant burns after otherwise-minor falls onto asphalt. With that in mind, let's take a look back a couple years to a snowy scene in New Hampshire.
This is the "shop" of the former New England Southern RR, now owned and operated by Vermont Rail System. At one time this unit was owned by, and lettered for, NEGS; after the VRS buyout it was subject to a sale/leaseback arrangement.
The Crazy Tuesday theme is a favorite way to cool down. Love love love this ice cream and am so glad that frozen fruit and ice cream were ALLOWED for the topic!!
So I put on AVONLEA by Traditional Face in tone Dune and immediately forgot who I was before this 💀✨
Like… the glow?? Unreal.
The skin?? Carrying my entire existence.
My reflection?? Deeply impressed.
And then chaos unlocked—
Also the AVONLEA eyeshadows (6 options!!) had me switching moods faster than my teleport cooldown
Soft glam → dramatic → slightly unhinged → back to innocent in 0.5 seconds
I picked up the Bohemian Sin Harness Dress by S&P absolutely stunning, and paired with AVONLEA by Traditional Face it just came together perfectly.
At this point I’m not styling anymore, I’m just emotionally unstable but make it ✨flawless✨

If you look closely on the left tree trunk (mid frame) you’ll see a lizard enjoying the evening cooldown to 100 degrees.
I held my breath for almost two days hoping this special guy would make it. The Monarch pupa stage endured a ridiculous 100-degree 2-day heat wave, the weather cooled down and then went to cold. He came out the afternoon of the cooldown. Actually, he surprised me on my doorstep, hanging on a potted plant. I had no idea where he came from, but finally found the shell of the pupa on the backside of the plant. His entry to the butterfly stage shouldn't start this way. He just hung all day yesterday in the cold. It was clear he wasn't ready to fly, and I finally moved him a few feet from the potted plant onto the milkweed, hoping he'd take a drink or two and get some strength into his wings. He made it through the night, and I prayed today's sun would get to him in time. At last, wing beats, movement, a few slurps and away he went. Not without a couple of circles around the yard and a salute goodbye. An absolutely incredible and very emotional moment.
How do we know it's a male Monarch? It's on the hind wing, a spot, shows much better topside. Looks more like a smudge from the underside here. I marked it on the image.
I just want to say if you are feeling really upset or unhappy right now it is not your fault and it will end sooner or later. When it does you won't even realise it enden couse you've forgoten you were sad in the first place. You've worked hard, every machine needs to cooldown sometimes.
a way, a path to bath. an invitation to cooldown or to enjoy the sounds of waterfall in an unique place ... Krka park
