A favorite bench at Glacier's Pray Lake. Wasn't much competition for it this fine wintry morning.
Never Laughs Woman mountain, Painted Teepee Peak and Mt. Sinopah provide a majestic backdrop.

Thanks for taking a look!
a southern carmine bee eater(merops nubicoides) cooling on his perch.
this beautiful bird is the biggest african bee eater (till 38cm).
as they need a lot of big flying insects they visit southern parts of africa just in summer season
when they can find enough food.
they spent winter in central africa.

It got up to 39 degrees while I was washing my car. So the only way to cool off was to hose myself down😁
Is there any taker to help out with the car...I promise not to hose you down too...winks
Was so quiet, peaceful and serene this calm morning after fresh snowfall the night before. Only one other camper across the lake and they slept in. :-))
A storm builds above Mt.Sinopah (yes, one of my most photographed peaks) across Pray Lake. The Two Medicine part of Glacier Park is great medicine for the soul.
Happy Friday! Have a wonderful day and weekend!
This is how you beat the summer heat Minnesota style. You take the pontoon boat out to the middle of the lake for a great sunset view and jump in the water!
As always thank you for your visits, faves, and/or comments. It is appreciated.
The cool hues of lavender and blue with a tinge of pink here and there on this lovely hydrangea blossom are just captivating. Found in the gardens of Schloss Bad Homburg.

Motion(?) created by twisting the zoom ring - one benefit of using a macro converstion filter. I love how it has the affect of opening a crisp, ice cold beer on a hot summer day!

A natural pool on the Lyell Fork of the Tuolumne River in Yosemite National Park. In June, with a bit of melting snow still feeding the river, this might have been a shock to the senses if you jumped in!
Wishing you a marvelous weekend. Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all. I will be on and off for the next couple of days and will catch up as time permits.

These days, even in the morning, it was too hot for a pleasant walk. In the forest, however, it looked quite different. These big trees are wonderful cooling machines. They evaporate huge amounts of water through their leaves and give off evaporative cooling to their surroundings. We should take good care of them.
