SFAMSC holds an annual Academic competition from preschool to grade 10 as an opportunity for students to further deepen their knowledge in fundamental subjects like math and science. These contests are designed to inspire students to study and enjoy the thrill of competition!

3... The person wearing our SLN-fan tshirt with the logo at the front in-sight
Where do you take the picture ?
1... Wherever you want to. Most sweet, cool,dark,sunny, mysterious place you can find. See it as a challenge to blow the judges minds !!!
How do you give us the image ?
1...Email it as JPEG or JPG image to jamestjuno@gmail.com or dana.vanmoer@gmail.com
2...Do not forget to provide us with your full SL avatar name !
Anything else you need to do ?
1... YES ! you have to be a member of the group "SL Newspaper" founded by JamesT Juno when we judge your image(s).
2... There are NO sittingposes in the couch, so you have to figure that one out yourself.
What can I win ?
1... A total sum of 10,000 L$ will be divided amongst the 3 best images. First will get 5,000 - second 3,000 and third 2,000 L$
End of the contest ?
1... Your image has to be in our mailbox before 24th of APRIL 2009 - The winners will get a message and their winning pictures will be posted in the newspaper. Results will be announced within 1 week after the closing-date.
On October 31, 2007, thirty people arrived in Halloween costumes on Fountain Square for a costume contest. Representatives from Cappel's and the thrift stores of Goodwill and the St Vincent de Paul Society judged the costumes, choosing one winner in the categories of Most Creative, Scariest, Funniest, and Best Team Costume.

Luna moth faery doll on blue velvet. Picture taken by Rey Mehlhorn. This doll was created, for a contest, off of a pattern by Sherry Goshon. The body is green pimatex, and the wings are iridescent paper upon which I've drawn a moth's wing design. I also drew the face by hand.
Orbis Ring flash contest. Remote fire with flash handheld low right. I really need one of the Orbis Ring flashes to figure out the best way to not have the glare in glasses, and he just looks so darn cute in this light.

Alumni and faculty members from the Dartmouth studio art department gathered on April 27 to select the winners of an art contest sponsored organized by the Dartmouth Class of 1961. Students submitted a range of interpretive representations of the Robert Frost statue in the categories of photography, drawing, painting, and sculpture.
