This piece explores the emotional residue of collapse — not just of buildings, but of ideals. The figure, headless and forgotten, once stood as a symbol of beauty, order, and permanence. Now, she presides over ruin. I created this environment to feel like the final chapter of a long-forgotten myth, where history no longer has a narrator and silence is the only remaining witness. The soft light through the arch isn’t hopeful; it’s indifferent. The debris isn’t tragic; it’s inevitable. I want the viewer to sit with that tension — the beauty in what endures, and the melancholy in what doesn't.

In How She Broke the Moon to Speak, the subject does not emerge from the surface she erupts through it. The fractured orb becomes both a cocoon and a wound, and the feminine form becomes the oracle, the cry, and the aftermath. The disembodied lips are not hers they are the voices projected onto her. Her own voice comes from the rupture. She has something to say that the mirror cannot contain.
This work is a meditation on expression through destruction how sometimes the only way to be heard is to split the frame open. It sits at the intersection of beauty ritual, identity collapse, and surreal resistance.

The "X" on the cheek is not a scar, but a recording device a glyph of survival, of marked bodies, of those written over but never erased.
This piece closes the veil series as a portrait of quiet defiance. The figure is not hiding. They are transforming.

The boat-bound figure is not a traveler but a witness adrift in a liquid world of distorted recollection. The oversized, disfigured head represents the psychic architecture of remembrance: beautiful, ruined, and mute. The glistening textures echo both preservation and decay.
This piece continues my #10000HourProject, an effort to map the grotesque intimacy between the self and the synthetic world. It reflects on emotional enormity rendered mute, showing how grief or shame can loom as large and as shapeless as this fallen mask. It’s not the fall we mourn but the scale of what we once had to carry.
