GONE - This great new piece has a lovely wood top and contrasting raw metal supports that would be perfect as an entryway console all on its own. It's made even more perfect for that use by the 6 crate-like drawers that sit beneath, which have handsome studs on both sides. Because of the height, it could also do very well at the foot of the bed, where extra storage is *always* needed. (Then you could stop putting everything on that chair no one has ever sat on.)

Neem wood is incredibly durable and strong! This newly constructed console would make an extraordinary presence anchoring a room with a no-nonsense androgynous vibe --- nothing over-the-top or froufrou about it!

1:6 Scale Model of the Mark 1A Tardis console which first featured in the Jon Pertwee story 'The Claws Of Axos' (1971).
Some of the controls were removed or added during the Pertwee era but this particular variant was used throughout the Third Doctor's tenure.

Photographs console us in the face of death and oblivion - it's their fundamental gift; they testify to what has been and what will be no more, and this testimony matters. It matters because oblivion is actually more than we can handle; because we get old and lose faith in the quick and competent gods of our childhood; because, unless we deny what our eyes see or turn ourselves into machinery, the future of everything is full of loss and disappearing; because we not only forget but we're also forgotten.

Not one of Commodore's better ideas, but from memory it had a few good games. I look forward to seeing what the kids think.
From the UK, and originally intended to store dishware and cutlery, this console could find a home in many other parts of your flat. It's relatively petite, with compelling details like the handles--squares with cut-out circles. You could even hang the TV over it! This is worth getting creative for!

This is a limited edition xbox console created to promote Gears of War 2 during the San Diego Comic Con in 2008.
I set the console to the side to provide better access around it fore and aft. That is a minimal jumpseat for crew that don't feel like standing.
Working in a radio studio, this is a detail of an instrument we daily use.
We use this machine to mix the different sounds that have to go to air, like the voice of an announcer and the intro of a song.
Ever since I was a little boy I have been interested in anything radio, and a console like this one still fascinates me to this day.
