Following someone along the road one afternoon and this was dropped from the plant they were carrying. Put the cutting in some rooting hormone and into some soil and left it. Knowing not what it was going to turn into, suddenly these flowers appeared after twelve months. Having looked it up its quite exotic. An exotic perennial evergreen but what a flower. Also known as the Parrot Impatiens and The African Queen.

Abandoned house in Belgium from our trip this weekend. I'd already shot this room and was happy with the shot, but then the sun came out and this glorious light beam shot down from the ceiling, me James and Sam ran round the room kicking up the dust and soon it was full of them. One of those beautifully, surreal moments and totally breathtaking.

It might be superstition

but some kind of somethin'

goin' on down there.

It might be superstition

but some kind of somethin'

goin' on down there.

It's an old time tradition

when they play their

drums at night in Congo Square.

You can hear 'em in the distance

And the old folks up the bayou say a prayer

You can hear 'em in the distance

And the old folks up the bayou say a prayer

That's when the voodoo people gather

And they play their drums at night in Congo Square

My eyes were not believin'.

What I seen there

but I could not turn away.

My eyes were not believin'.

What I seen there

but I could not turn away.

They had that mojo in motion

And I seen 'em dance

in trance with that snake.

The exhibition Recaptioning Congo at FOMU presents images from Congo’s long and turbulent history as a colonised country, spanning nearly 100 years from its formal establishment in 1882 to independence in 1960. The exhibition shows the contrasting perspectives of African and European photographers. The exhibition is very revealing and at times shocking… FOMU, Antwerp, Belgium

This is the quintessential view of the Congolese interior in my mind.

This young boy's eyes reflect the hard life it is growing up in the villages of the Congo.

The Royal Oman Police Air Wing acquired this Boeing 727 from Condor in 1981 and had it in service until 1993. The airliner was sold to Zaire as 9Q-CSG afterwards and was shot down by rebels after take-off from Kindu, Congo/Zaire, in October 1998.

Congo is one of the many sets of dances, songs and folk expressions by slaves brought to Brazil in the Colonial Period. Particularmanete is characterized by the use of drums in different sizes, typical costumes and choreography and songs that invoke the Gods. Currently it is a manifestation folk / religious, where pay homage to St. Benedict and Our Lady of Penha in festivals that take place throughout the months of December and January. Are common in the Holy Spirit festival dedicated to St. Benedict, where it drops a tall tree, cut up the branches leaving only the trunk, which will be the "mast of St. Benedict," which is carried through the streets and set in a courtyard of party, which puts a banner with the figure of the saint.

So many people have asked the story behind this photo and interpreted the expression and demeanor of this man in their own way, that I'd be remiss to share too much.

All I will say about this photo is that this man is one of the most interesting I met in rural east Congo (South Kivu). Even when he wasn't speaking, his face told many stories.

A fisherman crosses the river Sangha in northern #Congo. The Sangha flows along the border of Cameroon, with the Central African Republic, and then into the Republic of Congo before eventually flowing into the Congo river. #landscapephotography #naturephotography

on my early morning walking along congo river, brazaville ...

on the other side of the river is kinsasha, capital city of democratic republic of congo.

I'm taking a risk with this image because it was shot for a client (along with a bunch of others), so it is copyrighted, at least for now. His top quote for the story: "I murdered people, raped women, and I enjoyed it."

Dias nublados em Belo Horizonte ... resolvi 'homenagear' HAHAHAHAH

mentira . tinha nada pra fazer + achei essa cor linda = passei !

Congo é o nome desse cinza metálico e meio fosco da Panvel .

Processo:

1x base hipoalergênica

2x Congo

Sinceramente ?
