The Our Daily Challenge group has chosen Critter as today's topic.
This is my office space at the newspaper where all the magic happens with the computer. Actually it is more likely where the computer likes to crash but ...anyhow it is home to me.
The Guelph Technology Showcase 2.0 took place in the Science Complex Atrium Jan. 29. Companies had a chance to show off their products and discuss career opportunities, while students could make connections and chat to alumni of the Computer Science department and other related programs at the U of G.

My main computer, The Slut. Note the $1 bill in the 5.25" floppy drive. Yes, it has a 5.25" floppy drive.
Now containing 100% more CD burners! I'm only about five years behind everyone else.
Yesterday I clicked on an Apple upgrade* on my computer which changed iPhoto to Photos. It took nearly three hours to load and the photos on my computer have been rearranged, I can't load new ones to the iMac and I can't amalgamate or remove folders. Perhaps I will be able to do it eventually.
I took this photo with my Ricoh camera, loaded the picture to my external hard drive and uploaded it to Flickr from there :(

My computer has been dead for a few months, and I`ve been borrowing the man`s computer. We decided it was time to get a computer for me. I wanted a desktop, so we, being suckers for Sony goodies, got a Vaio.
It`s pretty sweet. Huge screen, and plays TV too.
Now to get a desk for it ^^;
Plenty of space for moving between the rows of computers which is nice for having people work together or being able to help people out.
They lived together, fought together and died together, a valiant battle was waged against the mighty Apple, the outcome is here for all to see, the graveyard littered with the fallen ;-))

The digital computer was invented at my alma mater of Iowa State University (see the machine above) by math/physics professor John Atanasoff and his grad student Cliff Berry during the '39-'42 school years.
The X200s comes with standard red-colored TrackPoint only (no touchpad - believe to save space).

My computer suddenly had some problems the other day. Luckily it hasn't happened since. I'm not sure what caused it.

Their current project is to design as “smart” aquarium, one that will allow a pet owner to have video streamed to their wearable device, as well as to automatically feed the fish when traveling. This is their project for the EECS 373 Expo scheduled for early December.

Nightime at The Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Seoul, South Korea
The Dongdaemun Design Plaza, also called the DDP, is a major urban development landmark in Seoul, South Korea designed by Zaha Hadid and Samoo, with a distinctively neofuturistic design characterized by the "powerful, curving forms of elongated structures". The landmark is the centerpiece of South Korea's fashion hub and popular tourist destination, Dongdaemun, featuring a walkable park on its roofs, large global exhibition spaces, futuristic retail stores and restored parts of the Seoul fortress.
The DDP has been one of the main reasons for Seoul's designation as World Design Capital in 2010. Construction started in 2009 and it was officially inaugurated on March 21, 2014. It is physically connected to Seoul Subway via Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station on Line 2, 4 and 5

Andy Whitt Just got my new 2013 Road (CTR2021), love it! Incredible ride, smooth and tight. Went over the handle bars of my bike a couple years ago, AC Joint separation, never thought I'd get to enjoy riding again... this is so much better than riding the bicycle! Ronald Bardier Had my 2013 Catrike Villager for 3 weeks now and can't seem to stop riding it. I'll never go back to a bicycle again. Only issue was the flag holder split where the pole enters. Probably due to high speed stresses!

Scott Boyd I got the 700 yesterday! Spent the day at the bike shop test driving the expedition and the 700 both twice! Ended up getting the 700 but either 1 you get you cant go wrong! !

Scott Boyd It was basically gotta pick 1 laurie!! Liked them both! Honestly for me the 700 just felt more comfortable but I've heard it both ways! Thats why u shud ride both for ride and feel! Different angles and for different heights it makes a difference on where you feel comfortable!

Catrike team visits the new Embraer aircraft assembly in Melbourne, FL. Embraer hires among others, 40 former NASA engineers and members. A phenomenal operation. They have previously toured Catrike facilities and during our visit they showed Catrike benchmarking examples on their Kaizen board. What an honor. Congratulations Embraer and Fly High!

The all new Catrike 700 2013 ships standard with a custom Velocity wheel with the Race Hub version and the A23 O/C (off center) rim. Weight 895g.
It provides very high rigidity. With the off set flange of the race hub, and the 3.4 mm off set of the OC rim it provides a very laterally stiff wheel. This is important for road bikes, but even more important for a trike. The Catrike 700 is also designed and constructed with a proper 130mm dropout spacing for a 700 wheel, therefore allowing the wheel to be upgraded to any other racing wheel in the market if desired.

Dude, I got a Dell!
Needed a new laptop after frying my USB ports on the old one... went with this Dell because I could get it with Windows XP installed (instead of Vista).
Step 1. set up network.
Step 2. download Firefox and appropriate plugins.
Step 3. download images from camera card.
Now I can set about the very dull task of transferring data.... then Kiddo will get the injured laptop for her own use.
