I was only in Chicago for one day between my vacation to Washington D.C. and a business trip to Cincinnati, Ohio (compare the excitement of those two cities).
And on that day, I had an errand to run down in the numbered streets.
As I've mentioned my old laptop's monitor melted internally last November (now, I guess two Novembers ago). I just hooked it up to my desktop and used it to crop photos. But my father insisted that I should get it fixed. The only place in the city of Chicago that repairs Toshiba's under the manufactured warranty is at 85th and Pulaski.
Pulaski's only a mile west of my apartment. 85th street is a good 100 blocks south.
Still being on the south side meant that I could go shopping near Ford City mall.
I ended up going to a Payless Shoe Source and buying new dress shoes for Cincinnati as well as to the Target nearby to buy a dress shirt. I bought a new burberry cap while I was at it.
The computer service was free, but the trip down ended up costing almost $200.00.

tried to resurrect my malfunctioning 3 year old Gigabyte Z270x motherboard in Gilmore. the guy took out the BIOS chip and flashed it in his USB dongle thing. the board won't boot at all, not even POST. that worked for a few days, but then failed again.
Photos of the dead computer I took just two weeks before.
i paid P2,500 last friday, he refunded me P500 yesterday when it realy couldn't be resurrected. I ended up having to buy a new motherboard and processor combo.
