These are the drive connectors, I can hook up 8 SATA drives and 2 EIDE drives.
I bought a new 500GB SATA drive to run my OS, and then I connected up 2 300 GB EIDE drives that I was already using in the old PC, so I just brought them forward to this one with all my data on them.
Since those 2 drives take up the spots for IDE, I had to use an add in card to attach my DVD-RW drive so I can access CDs and burn CDs and DVDs on this computer. I would have hooked up the hard drives to it, but the card will not support anything over 128GB, so I woulda lost too much space. I will eventually get more SATA drives so I won't need the IDE card anymore, but it works for now.
Building a computer of your own by assembling its parts is fun as well as challenging. It is not a herculean task that you can’t do yourself. All that you have to know is what are the parts and what are the correct order, sequence and position of parts related to each other.

Inserting the fan filter hits the cables going to the front of the Antec Sonata II case. Considering how well they managed to place everything, I thought that the cables connected to the front of the case could have been thought through a little better.

This is where the processor goes here on the right side, I went with a Pentium Core 2 Quad Processor for this machine, might as well get the latest and greatest right? The orange thing is a heat sink to help dispearse heat off of the chip that helps run the motherboard.
