I started swimming when I learned how to swim I was eighteen years old and I had failed at school and decided to embark on fishing After I started fishing, I worked so hard to develop myself and as you can see there is no problem I have a family, I have a wife and two children. I can take care of them because of my fishing job.
As you can see fishing is going on well but sometimes Sambaza fish dies and other times they disappear Thanks to God’s blessing Sambaza are now coming back to this lake. Now we get 40kg compared to the past years where you couldn’t even get 10kg Now we get 40kg compared to the past years where you couldn’t even get 10kg Our customers are happy and even our leaders are grateful to God.
They are recruiting new people like those students who drop out of school, they learn to fish and manage to get money which help them in their basic needs They no longer beg and when in need of something they can get it like the clothing or chicken.
I totally rely on fishing. I work and when I get 1000frw, I decide to eat 500frw and save 500frw because I want to develop myself. I don't want to be left behind when others are developing. I need to work hard because fishing is not a simple job for everyone.
It calls for one to be patient and also one needs to be strong It's to say that, there are people who don’t value our occupation saying that it's for smokers, people who love alcohol and women and what have you but we are not all like that. Some of us are focused so we work hard to develop our selves so that in case you leave this job or you reach an old age, you will be able to live.
