That is to say, that is what I will be doing throughout July. I probably won't upload anything new (but who knows), but I will try to pop by when I have time (and a good Internet connection). Though this time I won't be going to Japan but to Italy (for both business and pleasure)!

Long-exposure shot - not using a tripod but a rail! And yes, if you didn't know already, Japan has left-hand traffic.

Verraux Eagle Owl (Bubo lacteus)

A crow, coming in to land on a wee rowan tree, and one of this year’s lambs, leaving the scene as I drove up my neighbours’ track. A beautiful sunny morning!

"Coming home, I'm coming home

Let me show you who I am

Let me show you I'm your man

I would give anything just to see you again

Coming home, I'm coming home

Let me show you that I care

Let me show you that I share

I would give anything to see Jeanny again

Coming home"

A bridge over a former railway cut in downtown Windsor, Ontario is a wonderful spot to explore. Coming out from under the road bridge, you enter into the cut that has turned back into its natural state. It has also become the home for many of Windsor’s homeless population.

“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”

Fishing boat returning at dawn

Coming out of the gorge.

For the longest time I'd walked on the other side of the river, and it was challenging at times when going into the gorge. Finally, after passing the gorge I was able to rock-hop, cross the river and return on the other side. No wet feet this time :)

It turns out the other side was greener!
