Like Rain it sounded till it curved

And then I knew 'twas Wind --

It walked as wet as any Wave

But swept as dry as sand --

When it had pushed itself away

To some remotest Plain

A coming as of Hosts was heard

It filled the Wells, it pleased the Pools

It warbled in the Road --

It pulled the spigot from the Hills

And let the Floods abroad --

It loosened acres, lifted seas

The sites of Centres stirred

Then like Elijah rode away

Upon a Wheel of Cloud.

On the seventh day of our river trip in Kamchatka we saw the sunshine in the morning. So many details and subjects appeared. I've seen a lot of spiders in Kamchatka. And a good day for catching came.

On June 3, 1841, Auguste Pervillé (?-1868), plant collector for the Museum of Natural History in Paris, from the 'Île de Bourbon' (today Réunion) writes a rather plaintive report to the grand administrator of the Museum. He's too low on funds and is just scraping by. Moreover of the eight months he's just spent collecting in Madagascar he was taken ill and could work only three. But he appears to be steady on the job. And indeed he did a lot of 'economic', agrarian work while he was at it. In Ambongo, southern Madagascar - where he also collected our plant - he found a particularly large coffee plant. If you search around a bit on 'the net' you'll be able to read that letter for yourself. Fascinating! For the rest, little is known of what must have been an exciting life of intrepid travel. In his first scientifc description of this Flaming Beauty, Henri Ernest Baillon (1827-1895) refers (1878) to Pervillé's find and adds that in the local language it's called 'Kirondron'; hence the specific name. It's become naturalised in the Tropics and graces KLCC Park.

Here at Cape Arkona there are no possibilities to lie down in the warm sand. But it is still a paradise for the children. My two love to collect stones and analyze them. They are discovering so much right now.

Only so much no I stand here not in the water I jumped for the photo on one of these large rocks. That to the photo, musically you can try this, I like classical elements in a nevertheless ehr electronic piece.

Alors merci !

We woke up again to rain this morning so I decided to play outside to take my picture and got drenched. It was rejuvenating and refreshing, a fresh start for the week. My sweet husband brought me a bouquet of flowers yesterday so I couldn't resist using one of them. I love the shallow depth of field and experimented with more textures today.

Farewell to the shutter, the lens, and the frame

In the age of AI, will a new image reign?

As memories are woven, and cameras long gone

Will pixels surrender, to code's silent song?

I hope not!!

The Collector this stack of items is collected by an older gent who cruises the streets with a shopping cart in a nearby town, he picks up discarded items, he is always on the street. Hopefully he scratches out a few bucks by selling the scrap. Hard life. Shot in North Carolina.

Newfoundland and Labrador has an area of 405,720 square kilometres. It is more than three times the total area of the Maritime Provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island) and would rank fourth in size behind Alaska, Texas, and California if it were one of the United States.

It's almost one-and-three-quarter times the size of Great Britain. The island of Newfoundland covers an area of 111,390 square kilometres, while Labrador has an area of 294,330 square kilometres.
