Bien que parfaitement immobile, la sculpture donne l'illusion d'être un objet dynamique, en mouvement, tentant de s'élever du sol tout en délicatesse.
Although perfectly still, the sculpture gives the illusion of being a dynamic object, in motion, delicately attempting to rise from the ground.
Les oiseaux sont très nombreux sur ce que nous appelons le front de mer et qui est en fait la rive du chenal (mer - port) qui se trouve en ville et qui est un lieu de promenade
Liberté totale et nourriture facile, ce qui explique que c'est là que l'on trouve la plus grosse colonie de pigeons

The Abstract by the Collectif Coin was another interesting piece of art in the Lux Helsinki 2023. Too bad that a still picture is not able to convey the motion and music that was also present in the Abstract.

Comment traduire l’exil dans l’art ? Et si c’est l’artiste lui-même, elle-même, qui vit l’exil ? Comment s’en servir pour raconter la séparation avec la terre natale, les causes du départ, les traversées ? Comment continuer à créer lorsque l’on est poussé dehors ?
L’exposition Mères d’exil - regards d’artistes multiplie les regards posés sur l’exil, grâce aux œuvres de trente artistes l’ayant vécu ou travaillant sur cette thématique.
L’asbl MNEMA (Du grec ancien mnêmê signifiant mémoire), gestionnaire de La Cité Miroir, a sélectionné les œuvres en étroite collaboration avec L’atelier des artistes en exil, structure d’accueil pour des artistes confirmés qui ont du quitter leur pays. Des œuvres d’artistes de renommée internationale et d’artistes liégeois viennent étoffer cette exposition multimedium (installations, BD, peintures, vidéos, sculptures, créations textiles, photographies...).
L’exposition réunit 30 artistes (dont un collectif) - 15 nationalités.
How to translate exile into art? And if it is the artist herself, herself, who experiences exile? How to use it to tell the separation with the native land, the causes of the departure, the crossings? How do you continue to create when you are pushed outside?
The exhibition Mothers of Exile - Artists' Views multiplies the views on exile, thanks to the works of thirty artists who have experienced it or are working on this theme.
The non-profit organization MNEMA (From the ancient Greek mnêmê meaning memory), manager of La Cité Miroir, selected the works in close collaboration with L’atelier des artistes en exil, a reception structure for established artists who have had to leave their country. Works by internationally renowned artists and artists from Liège enrich this multi-medium exhibition (installations, comics, paintings, videos, sculptures, textile creations, photographs, etc.).
The exhibition brings together 30 artists (including a collective) - 15 nationalities.
