I don't read French or Egyptian, so I had to read Hammurabi's code at a later time. Hammurabi was a weird fella. For instance, here is number 2.
"If any one bring an accusation against a man, and the accused go to the river and leap into the river, if he sink in the river his accuser shall take possession of his house. But if the river prove that the accused is not guilty, and he escape unhurt, then he who had brought the accusation shall be put to death, while he who leaped into the river shall take possession of the house that had belonged to his accuser."
Is "river" to be taken literally? And why is this all the way up at number 2, anyway?
In January 2020 I bought 3 “spares or repairs” models, a mix of Wright Renown and Axcess by EFE. Two of those were quickly repainted into Hutchison livery, the third was set aside and forgotten - until last week.
The third model was in rough condition. A First Eastern Counties, Park & Ride example. Having found it I quickly set about dismantling it. I stripped it back to bare metal and gave it a full repaint. Unfortunately it fought me every step of the way, paint and primer lifting with the masking tape etc.
Nonetheless it is now 98% complete. As is usual I have added interior details, repainting the seats and handrails appropriately. I have also added some signage, it can’t easily be seen, but I like knowing it’s there. This 1:76 scale, code 3, diecast model bus now joins my Travel Dundee (National Express Dundee) fleet.
DIY Lens coding with dremel. Let's try this on a small voigtlander lens.
I simply used a sharpie to fill the holes. The lens is a Voigtlander 21mm. So I used the code for a 21mm Elmarit.
