This version of the Woolmers coach house and stables was built in the 1840s.

A spectral carriage of the disembodied and forlorn, just in time for my favorite holiday. Partly Haunted Mansion inspired, partly Sleepy Hollow (1999) inspired.

Today (11/07/2026) I spent the morning in Windsor Coach Park as a way of marking 40 years since the official opening of the 74-bay coach park in its current state on 10/07/1986 by the then Chairman of the English Tourist Board and British Tourist Authority, Duncan Bluck OBE, who was the former managing director of the Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific from 1971 to 1979.

I stayed until 13:00 and in that time saw 100 coaches come and/or go which in my book made it a busy morning! So to reflect the importance of Windsor to the incoming tourist market, there's a bit of a European theme to this post, plus European coaches seem to be more colourful!!

On a very damp day in a thus far disappointing September, DW Coaches' President-bodied B7TL PJ52LVW is seen as it passes beneath the Midland Mainline on Storforth Lane with a journey from Tupton Hall to Grassmoor.

New to London Central, this vehicle arrived from Powells in the spring. It appears to have been repainted into the white/blue colours which used to be worn by quite a few DW vehicles.

The Cambridge to Royston rail replacement on 27th November 2022 was nowhere near as interesting as past jobs.

But a pleasant surprise was seeing one of Collins Coaches Volvo Olympians on the route.

Former Go Ahead London NV184 (R384LGH) has spent the last ten years in Cambridgeshire, the last three of which with Collins, now re-registered MIL7163 and is seen in Royston carrying a full load headed for Cambridge.

Seeing a Portsmouth City Coaches rail replacement bus in Woking yesterday reminded me I have some shots from a photoshoot I did with them earlier this year (August 2025). CBW magazine requested some photos for an article that one of their esteemed reporters had written so with the help of proprietor Mike Elkin we posed a few of the fleet for my camera and enjoyed a bag of chips afterwards (cheers Mike!). The MCV Evosetis, new at the time, are now in fleet livery.
