It was the last time I looked out that window. A year and a half later on June 1, 2018, the clubhouse burnt to the ground.
Something a little different from my usual landscapes.
I came across this building on my walk to Trearddur Bay. It stood out from all the other buildings on the coast so I had to grab a photo.
This small island and its clubhouse are home to the Berkeley Water Ski Club from May through September. In the winter months, it is home to numerous water-birds.

The highlight of yesterday's visit to the Wolfsburg car city was the PREMIUM CLUBHOUSE pavilion. Even the entrance is worth seeing with a light installation made of fluorescent tubes like those used on billboards, but more on that later. First we go to the object of desire, a fully mirrored Bugatti Veyron 16.4, it was not easy to find the right position to keep the reflections of the light installation in the entrance area as low as possible. Since a b / w version was already made by Rafi, I want to do without it. I still hope I managed to get a reasonably showable picture ;-)

The Appalachian Clubhouse is a historic structure located in the Elkmont Historic District. It was used as a gathering spot by lessees and guests of the Appalachian Club, which was established in 1910. Club members, mostly from Knoxville, built rustic cabins nearby to serve as weekend or summer retreats in the years before the park was created. The original clubhouse was destroyed by fire and replaced by the exsiting building in 1934. The building has now been rehabilitated by the National Park Service to its appearance in the 1930s.
It's kind of funny that you can buy golf clubs at a golf club while being a member of a golf club.
On the photo side, I'm kind of surprised at how interestingly the old Minolta 500 Reflex lens renders landscape photos. It has a unique "3d pop" that I wasn't expecting from a long telephoto lens like this.
