This is a vintage drying rack that worked out really well. Because I was travelling by train and plane, everything had to be very portable. This lovely number collapses down into a very easy to carry size.
My Mom..... to whom I owe all my crafting, sewing, cooking, baking and everything else! This is her booth that was next to mine!
None of this is my fault. I tell every window display designer I meet: "If one mannequin in a display is headless, they all need to be headless. You can't mix the headless and non-headless ones, unless you're deliberately trying to be gross or scary."

This pink mannequin in a shop window caught my eye.
The word actually comes from the Dutch word manneken, literally meaning 'little man'. Mannequin is the French form.
In the mid 1970s, "Mannequin Modeling," a human model posing as a mannequin figure, was made famous by New York City's major flagship department store Abraham & Straus, which was located in Downtown Brooklyn.

the vintage suitcase was my grandmother's, so I felt like she was there in spirit. She was an extremely creative lady who had style in everything she did. She was wearing leopard at age 85!
