It was a rainy afternoon today, winter rain. I went to the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary to see what animals would make an appearance. While photographing birds this deer walked quietly into view. It had its sight on the seed that had been scattered on the snow.

We saw this huge Elephant (Loxodonta africana) foraging in a forest. When he approached the road our driver moved the vehicle back but we tried to capture an extreme closeup of its beautiful eyes. Many missed shots - focused on the eyelashes - but this one came out. Love the details on the skin and wrinkles. Un-cropped image.
Artistic take on a closeup of an Anna’s hummingbird. Captured on Canon 60D and during quarantine in the woods of the Bay Area, California, USA. Enjoy!

▶ It's a closeup. Blossom appears larger in image than it does in 'real' life.
▶ COVID-19: The statewide shelter-at-home order permits the dog and me to go for short walks. The camera comes with us.

I am really enjoying branching out into some macro photography. I shot these drone flies in my garden. All single shots with my Sony A7RV, Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art lens coupled with the Nisi closeup lens and small flashlight. Settings: 1/250s, f/18, ISO 2500. Effective magnification with this combo is 2:1
A closeup on those trees, shot with Sony a6000 and 35mm lens. I’m noticing a lot when I shoot with Sony and iPhone that the colors come out significantly differently on the two, and no matter how much I fiddle with the colors panel in LR I often cannot reconcile them. Any thoughts on that? (Maybe a polarizer would have helped the foliage colors, but wouldn’t it also have killed the reflection in the water? I didn’t think to experiment with it at the time.)
