Sulky action at the La Crosse Interstate Fair in West Salem, Wisconsin.

My grand daughter is so cute.

My husband was playing around with my Lil B the other day. He clipped all these closepins on her shirt and thought for sure she would be removing them as fast as he was clipping them.

Suprisingly, she kept them on and did so proudly :o)

Gastrointestinal bleeding is a common emergency in internal medicine, which requires surgical treatment to achieve the goal of hemostasis. With the development of endoscopic hemostasis technology, emergency endoscopic hemostasis has become the first choice for the treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding, and the hemostasis clips has played a major role. The hemostasis clip has no obvious complications, which provides the endoscopist with a reliable tool for hemostasis and shows potential advantages.

Safety of Hemostasis Clips

We all need to pay more attention to the safety of hemostasis clips in case of an accident made by it, like ulcer perforation. So everyone who may use hemostasis clips should be familiar with and have a good command of them in order to calmly deal with any situation during the operation.

History of Hemostasis Clips

In recent years, the advent of various alloy hemostatic clamps has enriched surgical hemostasis methods. They are used to temporarily block blood flow and clamp occluded blood vessels. They have been widely used to stop bleeding in deep small and medium blood vessels. The first "hemostasis clip" was used in gastrointestinal endoscopy from Hayashi and his conpanions in 1975, then in the 1990s, it was recognized as a tool helpful for hemostatic applications. With its continuous development, hemostasis clip has a wide range of applications.

The original clip is seen on the left. The second clip from the left shows how it looks after removing the sharp pins and grey plastic push button. I used a dremel with the small grinding attachment (seen above to) to grind off plastic to make a place for the potentiometer to fit (as seen on the far right).
