Taking part in an active environmental community is paramount which is why we not only organise our own beach cleanup events but also help out whenever we are invited to join other organisations or groups who organise events which share our goals and dreams!

Despite a flooding river and in celebration of it, we held a cleanup on land and a fantastic River Festival with music, art, food, education and lots of fun stuff for kids.

Soldiers carry out a routine daily trash cleanup, known as police call, at Camp Casey April 8.

The 2019 Pullman Stream Cleanup took place on April 20th. It was the 15th annual event, hosted by the City of Pullman Stormwater Services and the Palouse Conservation District (PCD). What a great way to celebrate Earth Day! Participants enjoyed a morning of walking along Pullman streams with their family, friends, and neighbors, removing litter and recyclables from local waterways, and just keeping Pullman green.

Cleaning up the watershed

Volunteers came out on a lovely Saturday to help clean out all the old junk from Mueller Farm to make it ready for St. Louis Composting to come in and clear away brush and invasive plant species

On May 13 HCC students, faculty and staff participated in County Executive Ulman's "20-Minute Cleanup." HCC joined groups across the county to spend a mere 1,200 seconds cleaning the areas where we live, learn and work.

Each year in March, Australians register to have a clean-up day. The Gecko Environment Council along with the Gold Coast City Council, organise the event. This year the site we cleaned up had less rubbish than the previous years so we are hoping that the message is getting out there.
