The single most important goal that initiated this outing was to clean our everlasting mountains from the hunting cartridges that had rested on its façade for a very long time. We managed to collect 15 huge bags full of cartridges that will be later recycled.

The NJROTC cadets and some of Ms Diaz' AVID students conducted a Beach Cleanup at Green Key on Feb. 18, 2017. The combined group battled chilly weather and high winds on Saturday to make Green Key a cleaner beach.
Despite the park rule disallowing campfires in these sensitive areas, people continue to create fire scars. These are the (repurposed) tools of the trade for cleanup - cat hole trowel and food bucket and spoon. Photo taken during cleanup and removal of site #1 at Carter Lake.
