Shot in Berwyn Illinois. I have been really busy and have not been able to get out so I am trolling the archives. Hopefully I will get out soon to shoot some new stuff.
Graphosoma italicum is a species of shield bug in the family Pentatomidae.
It is also known as the Stripes bug (or Italian striped bug) and Minstrel bug.

The curlew sandpiper is similar to a dunlin, but in autumn it looks cleaner and paler with a white eyestripe. It has a longer, more down-curved bill than a dunlin and will feed in slightly deeper water. Deep chestnut breeding plumage unmistakable in spring and summer. In flight it shows a bright white rump. What they eat: Snails, worms and shrimps (Courtesy RSPB).

“Meet The Cleaner”…
I open our "Breakfast Club For Birds" at 8am with nice soft peanut butter (smooth) and top it up at noon with seeds, nuts and crushed fat balls .
High Tea is at 3pm in the winter.. with sunflower hearts and crunchy peanut butter, to help them through the cold nights.
This is our "Cleaner" arriving at 3:30 to mop up the left-overs. the last rays of the days sunshine just twinkling in his eye.
All this happens in my back garden in Felling… My Wife. Cheryl calls it “The Connor Hilton”. I think it’s better than that.
After 70 years of chasing them through fields and woodland I now do it the easy way, make them come to me and hang out of the bathroom window.
I’ve always liked this sign in the Midtown area of San Jose. I pass it often on the way to a favorite taqueria. Well, I used to pass it often. The sign was recently taken down, prompting local preservationists to renew the discussion of how to save signs like this from disappearing from public view.
