February "Birds on a Wire" Career Age Group gathering, 2/12/10. Organizing clothing gathered from the Winter Closet Cleanout project.
144/365. Continued garden cleanout today! We got the sunflower bed emptied and tulips put in and tucked away for the winter. There are still carrots and dahlias in the other half of the garden, but one side is sure ready for winter! We also put away the Flowerpot Lounge and planted a bazillion daffodils. Whew! Then there was Rummikub lunch (P won them all -- it was so stupid!) and Stardew afternoon where WE GOT THE RETURN SCEPTER! WOO HOOO!!! Our hands hurt so much from the gardening, but P powered through on Thursday Murder Sweater (the front is finished!), and S started her poncho. Then there was TNG night (ahhh, the most civilized part of Analog Winter) and reading more of the confounding Christmas Poirot. We think we might have it figured out, but we put it down for the night as Poirot was just building a head of steam in the "gather everyone in the library" part of the ending.
Discovered in closet cleanout: my husband's congratulatory scholarship (form) letter from the University president. I was introduced to him in October of this same year, 1954 We've been married since June, 1955.

If you have a weak stomach, look no further. I just dug these up from an old DVD and thought I should upload them for posterity. These aren't even the pictures from when I first bought the house. There were actual walls in this pit. Some of them covered with "marbled" glass tiles. This makes me look at my basement now in an entirely new light.

I cleaned my garage out! Got rid of lots of junk and made tons of room, plus put in a bunch of shelving.
I also went to 4 movies, so it wasn't all work!
