In a deep December frost 6233 Duchess of Sutherland is seen on the approach to Clapham Junction station having started from London Victoria
37219 crossing Clapham Viaduct on The Little North Western Line with 1Q83, the 14.15 Blackpool North - Derby test train on Fri 16th July 2021.
10th December 2002 and in superb conditions 6233 Duchess of Sutherland is seen on the approach to Clapham Junction. I had discounted this shot due to the modern unit, 450003, but decided to process as it shows the old and the new of transport at the time
Clapham Junction is famous for having one of the busiest rail stations in the whole of Europe, making it a significant transportation hub.
essence, Clapham Junction remains more than just a station; it is a landmark of connectivity, resilience, and historical intrigue, standing proudly as a symbol of London’s enduring spirit and its complex, fascinating history.

Another from my recent Open House London 2015 trip.
The £6.5m, 19,000 sq ft public library, designed by Studio Egret West, is located in the heart of Clapham on the High Street (formerly Mary Seacole House). As well as holding more than 20,000 books, it provides a stunning new performance space for local community groups, as well as modern meeting room facilities.
Much like the interior the outside is pretty fun too, although sadly the sun was in the wrong place so will have to revisit at a later stage. Whilst the core of the building is the library the exterior contains 136 private apartments.
This is straight from camera bar a white balance adjustment.

My work has been so all encompassing recently that I've had little space for my photography. But a very wet Clapham Junction on Friday with an Olympus Trip in my bag invited some street work

The approaching Northern line train draws absolutely no attention from the waiting passenger, who looks down egrossed in his mobile device at Clapham North station.
Opened in 1900 as Clapham Road, as part of an extension of the City & South London Railway, Clapham North is one of two remaining stations on the London Underground network which have narrow island platforms. The other station being Clapham Common, one stop to the south.

Going with me to this location probably wasn't a great idea, 18 attempts and only got it fully lit twice.
