That night, I wanted to capture a timeless moment. Beneath the immensity of the Milky Way, we moved forward, illuminated only by a small light, derisory in the face of the brilliance of the sky. In this almost unreal setting, the mist and the stars seemed to merge, enveloping the scene in a mysterious and soothing atmosphere. This photograph is the memory of a moment when we felt infinitely small, but profoundly connected to the universe...

This image is a visual interpretation of movement at the speed of light.
The radial projection effect evokes movement through space at relativistic speeds, where photons appear to converge towards a central point, illustrating the concept of trajectory and propagation of light. Light travels at approximately 300,000 km per second in a vacuum.
This is the maximum possible speed in the Universe. Everything we observe in the sky stars, nebulae, galaxies always reaches us with a time delay.
In astrophotography, capturing light is also capturing a story:
the story of radiation that has traveled, sometimes for years, even thousands of years, before reaching our sensors.

Wollaton Hall, backlit by the Winter sun, on a snowy day in Nottingham.
Built in the 1580's for Sir Francis Willoughby, Wollaton Hall was designed by Robert Smythson, (who also built Hardwick Hall and Longleat), and is built from ancaster stone, from Lincolnshire. The Willoughbys had originally become rich though the ownership of coal mines, but as the coal began to run out, the family fortunes suffered. The hall fell into disuse in the late 19th century, and was bought from the by Nottingham Council and re-opened in 1925 as a museum. Recently, it featured as the new Wayne Manor in the final part of Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy, The Dark Night Rises.
Taken with a Nikon D40, fitted with a Nikkor AFS DX 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6G II lens, and processed in Picasa, GIMP, and Photoscape.

After two years of waiting, Phoenix Custom Bricks FINALLY shipped out his fantastic Custom Nolan Trilogy Batman figure, and man was it worth the wait! :)
Now I won't go into too much detail, as I already semi-reviewed this fig over on my Patreon a few days ago. So if you want to read all about my thoughts and feelings about this fig, head over there!
Besides that review, there's also three more bonus (fully edited) photos, along with two behind-the-scenes posts about the process of this shoot and build, AND a video all about the editing!
ALSO! I have another photoshoot with this figure planned out that Patron's will see first in a few months :)
So yeah man, that's where the party's at, go check it out over there :)

Speaking on Phoenix Customs, here’s a big shout out to Adam Sansale himself for recently joining the Patreon! He’s of course the owner of Phoenix Custom Bricks and producer of this fantastic figure! He’s been part of the Flickr community for years now, and if you’re somehow not already, you should really go give him a follow or buy one of his many great custom minifigs!
Also in the same week, my Mom joined the Patreon too! So if my Mom can figure out the internet, than I’m sure you can too! It’s a pay-what-you-want system, with different levels of posts based on your support! It’s easy, no sweat, a breeze, easy as pie... you get the idea!
This post, like so many others, are brought to you by Adam, Mom, and other fellow patrons of my work. Their support helps to keep this page up and running and funding future projects and figures! So if you enjoy my photography and would like support this page too, have a visit sometime! :)

Time-lapse of build:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_ZKX8RyC28
This build took me around 11 hours to complete spanning over two days. I absolutely love this movie and wanted to build a scene using that awesome Bane figure. I also wanted to challenge myself and build some LEGO architecture I've never done before. That tan tumbler is was also a fun challenge to try out!

Plenty of help and advice aswell..so thanks again..this ones for you! Ski mask heads from CB Joe..great gift..so a massive thanks ; )
What a fitting way to end this little series, on Batman day no less. Main thing I wanted to show off was the Joker's new coat.
Now, I am missing a couple. Mainly Catwoman and Talia, but honestly I'm not that big a fan of Dark Knight Rises, and only included Bane since I already had him made.
Small scene inspired by the Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy..and yes the bat signal does light up!

I'd wanted to build the Inception rotating/zero-G hallway since I saw the movie, but just didn't have the will in me. Then I saw Ochre Jelly's rendition of the same scene and it was just the kick I needed. Many thanks, Iain.

I have been busy for the past few days so here is another alternative shot. They can be very useful, this photograph I took was going to be uploaded a few weeks ago but I decided this one was better:

8x8 Vignette Series:
"You just couldn't let me go, could you? This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. You truly are incorruptible, aren't you? You won't kill me out of some misplaced sense of self-righteousness. And I won't kill you because you're just too much fun."
Svínafellsjökull Glacier, Iceland : July 2018
Before taking this picture i wanted to stay till the cloud passed the tip of the mountain. As i was looking into the sky a bird passed by and it stopped near the water. For some reason i got distracted and started to watch it for a while it got its prey and then i started to look back at the mountain and think as we are the most intelligent creatures on the planet earth. We invented, developed created lot of things still evolving and creating chaos and destruction to the planet while the other beings they just hunt for there prey and just help the ecosystem. Sometimes i feel like we are the parasites on the planet. This picture is very special it has glaciers that are melting because of the global warming. Which is a very major issue for the planet. I dedicate this picture to James Balong who has shown us how the global warming is effecting the glaciers all around the planet. Even with his health conditions and severe temperatures his photography showed the drastic erosion and disappearance of enormous, ancient glaciers. Watch @chasingice on netflix for more information about the glaciers and how james bolang captured and showed the world about the effects of global warming.

One of my favourite TDK scenes, getting these figures has inspired me to make some more superhero builds ; )
I can't remember who makes the custom lighting kits I used..they come in very handy either way!
My favourite line from the film..
Gotham National Bank Manager: Think you're pretty smart, huh? The guy that hired youze, he'll just do the same to you. Oh, criminals in this town used to believe in things. Honor. Respect. Look at you! What do you believe in, huh? WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IN? (The Joker leans down and sticks a gas grenade in the manager's mouth) "I believe whatever doesn't kill you, simply makes you... Stranger!"
I'd wanted to build the Inception rotating/zero-G hallway since I saw the movie, but just didn't have the will in me. Then I saw Ochre Jelly's rendition of the same scene and it was just the kick I needed. Many thanks, Iain.
This setup was an afterthought; I built it with this shot in mind. That picture will come later. First: dinner.

Heath Ledger's Joker is still my favorite representation of my favorite comic book villain. I don't think Jared Leto can top it!
After talking with Letranger Absurde about him possibly making a Heath Ledger version of the Joker, I decided I would try to do one myself! This is the outcome. Hope you like it!
