We are still 3 weeks away from Chinese New Year but the lion dance troops are already starting their performances round town.
I think this angle works better, seeing it framed vertically. I normally like to get more sunlight on the lantern, but New Year's came early this year, so the sun isn't as high in the sky as it would be in February.

a week after chinese new year day (BTW it was Australian National day too), and a week before the lantern festival, Chinese people decided to celebrate their real holiday. i am included!!!
