Do you know Kung Fu? Show me! haha..(A very famous line from The Matrix movie). To me, Kung Fu is a great way to train your discipline to become a better person.
When I was a kid, I was lucky enough to learn some Kung Fu. Throughout my lesson, I learned that Kung Fu isn't about beating someone else. It is about training and rediscovering yourself. I learned to be part of a team, to listen to others, and stay focused.

This is one of my favorite shots from the Lunar New Year Chinatown Parade. As I just finished taking the photos of the policemen marching in. I noticed that the kids beside me were so concentrated. They were all looking at the same direction.
I quickly stepped back a little and capture this moment. I came to this event for the last few years. It is always good to see that families with different cultural backgrounds are bringing their kids to enjoy and experiences other cultures. I think it is a good opportunity for kids to know how other people celebrates their new year...and experience something they never did before like getting red envelope and saying kung hei fat choy to each other :)

In Lunar New Year, the lion dance is probably one of the highlights of the celebrations. Chinese people believe that lion is an auspicious animal and it symbolizes wisdom, power, and superiority.
By performing the lion dance, it will bring prosperity and luck to the surrounding people. When I was a kid, I was very weak so my father took me to learn how to do the lion dance. Since I was not strong, I am always the person who does the tail part. The person who controls the head must be strong and skillful. The lion head itself is quite heavy and requires a lot of skills to make the lion looks lively...
