Started on this fig around the time of the first Solo trailer drop. I’m kindof excited for the film, and wanted to finally make a Chewbacca fig.
I decided to go with his more recognizable design, rather than the double bandaleers.
The decision to resculpt on top of Legos cast was heavily based on Nate Figs. He did it and I loved how his turned out which prompted me to try it out.
I sanded down the newer Chewbacca sculpt in some areas, and re-sculpted the top and fur around the mouth. After that I extended the legs and arms, and sculpted fur on top of those as well.
The paint was many mixes and tones using dark brown, brown, and tan paint.
I’m really happy with how the face turned it, especially since I wasn’t too happy with the original LEGO sculpt.

Plowing through more Star Wars midi figure builds.
The other side had a bunch of small b-wing fighters and something else that I didn't know the name of.
