An almost harlequin-ish Chevy S-10 here reminds me of the shrimpy loud-talker who hung around the big boys on the school playground and did all the verbal bullying of others.

Saturday night cruising in Paprihaven.
Tully's Chevy S-10, the "Mean Green", is so called because it is Tully's work truck in his lawn care business. With its 2.8L LH7 engine, the Mean Green can certainly get up and go but it won't be setting any speed records.
Still, this is Market Street and the soldier in the green Jeep did pass Tully pretty aggressively, so a race is on!
Whether he wins or loses tonight, Tully will be happy again tomorrow as the 'Mean Green' Chevy turns in another dependable day of work hauling sod, lawn equipment and whatever else may be needed for the job.

Tom Figura took this photo of me waving from Griffith tower at eastbound Canadian National train A490 on August 26th, 1999 at 5:30 pm. Tom was a railfan from somewhere in Ohio who I never met again but he spent the better part of my afternoon shift talking RR's with me and taking great photos. He sent me copies of everything he took that afternoon in trade for letting him hang around. I didn't see any reason not to, considering it would be only months before this tower was gone.
Levers out for this move were 19 & 25.

At the Bradford, Illinois Car Show, 2016. This is a 1986 S-10 with a "3/4 race" 1949 Ford Flathead V8 under the hood. Very well done and nicely detailed. It uses the manual transmission that came in the S-10, with an adapter made by the owner, who is a machinist.
Sadly, this S-10 extended cab has seen better days, but with over 220K under the hood, it's not so humiliating being hauled around by a full size Ford.

Sadly, this dependable S-10 is reaching the end of her natural life, but perhaps, if they can overhaul the engine, maybe the transmission, she's got another 220,000 in her.

We added some custom flare to this Chevy S-10 with a wild two tone paint job. We also painted the door panels and dash board with a suede covering that gave the parts the appearance of leather. This project turned out nice enough to be the subject of a Sport Truck Magazine tech article.
