"Looking close... on Friday!"

One advantage of going north to Tennessee is finding the Redbuds still in bloom so I brought home the perch from my prior post and endeavored to put it to use in the Georgia Mountains.

My goal was this species and B1ackburn1an on the perch.

Thankfully it worked out and the early morning light was glorious!

This chestnut backed chickadee was making its way through the trees outside a restaurant on my walk. The tree is wrapped with white lights, which is the green that it is hanging on to. Only the second chestnut backed chickadee I've seen, and the first in town.
