Another image from inside the swimming pool building. Although derelict, this building was apparently in use by those working inside the exclusion zone for many years after the disaster and evacuation.

Taken in October 2017 during a two day visit to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
I'd often overlooked the original photo but recently revisited the shot and now believe it to be one of the most poignant images of the 1200 or so I'd taken during my visit.
13 bottles, 13 children, 13 different stories to be told.
My entry for the Marchitecture 2017 contest (Category 1). Model of the recently completed NSC unit covering the Chernobyl sarcophagus. The site will be operational by the end of 2017.
