Went back to Sam Rulz at Two Hands Custom tattoo for the colour to be done on my lovely hot rod pin up girl. I'm so stoked with how it turned out, Sam did an amazing job on my memorial tattoo for my Dad and I can't stop looking at my beautiful pin up :-)
A murder of Crows were playing in the updraft on the cliffs at Palos Verdes Peninsula.
I delighted in their antics and was having a wonderful time trying to get flight shots. It was very difficult as the wind increased their speed.
Here is an oncoming shot of one looking at me. He wanted to know what I was doing!

Tonight marks the end of this year’s Rock Your Rack 2023, and it ends with a message. Check your boobies. I’m wearing a couple of hunt items, and sipping my smoothie while I wait for Justine the final act of tonight. Hunt for the wire hanger and purchase a special 10L item that is donated 100% to the charity. Less than 3 hours left!

Check out the moon right now. It's big and beautiful. Here, the last few hummers are getting one last drink before bedtime. They'll be back bright and early, as soon as the light starts in the morning for breakfast.
It's hard to turn your back on the Tetons but the light was better the other way on this day near Ox Bow Bend. I must constantly remind my self to turn around and look behind me!
"Always check your back." - Good advice for photography and life ;-)

Pausing on a snowy day for a quick phone check - this chap very considerately moved over off the narrow strip of path that had been cleared so he wasn't blocking it while checking his phone, which was nice of him

We wanted to let our friends know that Bandit will have a small (hopefully) procedure tomorrow to remove another mast cell tumor. This one is very small and is located on his hip. We went through this about two years ago with two small lesions in a different area. Those turned out to be malignant, but very low grade. They were removed and caused no further problems. I will update you on what the vet says once the pathologist provides his report.
The little owlets do not seem to miss a thing and this image was captured when this little guy seemed to be checking things out. The burrowing owl images are almost finished as I am sure you have seen enough by now. This year my intent was to try and capture a day in the life of a burrowing owl and so spent many hours watching how they spend their time and how they interact and how they mature into adults. It truly was fascinating and they were wonderful subjects !!!
Hope you all had a great holiday and wishing you a blessed week ahead.
'Hot or cold, wet or dry, nothing could stop them from coming and have fun... A busy street corner in the daytime, an exciting "battlefield" in the evening. Managed to find a narrow gap between two spectators to get a few shots.'
But that was more than 10 years ago; can't find them anymore...
