Don’t go chasing waterfalls…..

Very low water flow when we visited Ricketts Glen this August. Still allowed for some interesting shots. This is Cayuga Falls on the Ganoga Glen side of the trail.

The recent wet season gives the cascades full flow and a wide curtains of water

Waterfalls run for a few hours, after a heavy rain.

Some of the monsoon rains produced waterfalls, that's a lot of rain in a short period of time. Welcome is the dry south west.

Lata Bukit Hijau located in Mount Inas Forest Reserve, 42km from Kulim and 45km from Baling, Kedah. Bukit Hijau is famous for its Lata Bukit Hijau. This forest has been classified as a forest of research and education. Using the old road, visitors have to go through Labu Besar small town and Malau small town.

Gullfoss waterfall is one of Iceland's most beloved waterfalls. The river Hvítá makes a dramatic plunge down 32 metres into a canyon.

The next day, I returned with a tripod and the other camera, climbed down into the creekbed for a closer look.

Brúarárfoss (Brúarfoss) waterfall is like many other waterfalls in Iceland, something you should not miss. The waterfall is located alond the golden circus. There is a parking near the waterfall at around 10min (need to pay to parking there).

A glimpse of Rainbow Falls

Chasing waterfalls on Vancouver Island...so special that I want to keep it secret to protect this hidden gem.

Captured with Fujifilm XH1 on tripod for long exposure...getting my feet wet literally and figuratively using a tripod which is still a little alien to me.

Mooney Falls is such a beautiful place hidden in the Grand Canyon and well worth the climb down the ladders and chains along the canyon wall to reach the bottom of the falls

The falls are located on the Havasupai Reservation in the Grand Canyon and are nearly 200ft tall with inviting turquoise waters surrounded by the most vibrant red canyon walls.

The nearest and most accessible waterfall from the campsite. Buruwisan Falls is famous and possibly the most photographed waterfalls in Mount Romelo in Siniloan, Laguna.

I can't wait to see what heaven is like, but in the meantime, I think the New River Gorge in the fall gives me a hint when the waterfalls are paved with gold. I did some intense scrambling and rhodo scrambling to get to this angle, but I think it turned out well enough to give me a unique angle on this fall. Went and did a little Waterfall chasing today. Never been to Ender's State Forest before and will certainly be back again and again. Love that about waterfalls, you can photograph them over and over with a different shot every time.

Thanks to my Flickr friend, ransang, for the helpful tips for shooting at this location. It was a great morning to shoot Douglas Falls, but boy... those red rocks are the most slippery rocks on the planet. I think someone greased them before I visited.
