Cartoon heads
The brightly coloured cartoon heads are painted by world-famous artists Thierry Noir. The French-born artist was the first person to paint the wall, often risking his life to do so. After the wall’s fall, it seemed only right that Noir had a mural at East Side Gallery. Noir was also part of the 2009 initiative to restore paintings on the wall.
Remember: it's always beer o'clock somewhere...

Cartoon tribute to some of the glamorous legendary survivors of the greatest years of Hollywood's film history; inspired by the most recent photographs - in or just before 2003- that could be found.
"As I began the creation of this tribute, over several months, all ladies were still with us; but sadly early on, Vera Hruba Ralston (top right) lost her battle with cancer on February 9, 2003 - but having been in touch with her, she would have been delighted to be included.
Since 2003, more Hollywood lights have gone out with the passing of 6 more of these stars..."
