In April -May, the ground is covered by a carpet of Wood Anemo throughout southern Sweden. If you want to walk in the woods and not even tramp on the beautiful flowers, it is difficult to put your feet down. They are allowed to pick and put in vase.
This image is a speial one for my friend Mary.
Texture: Marezia57, Topaz.

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM.
I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO WITHOUT ALSO LEAVING A COMMENT .
a red-billed oxpecker (buphagus erythrorhynchus) on the best possible carpet for a photo,a burchell'szebra.
oxpeckers are very specialized birds,largest part of their food is found on the big mammals.they eat mostly ticks so these birds are very useful for the big animals.the oxpecker body is perfectly adapted to climb on the mammals and the bill works like a comb to catch also ticks larvae from the long hairs...i love to see these birds working and they are amazing "models" for some shots.

After spending time investigating Roberts Creek, I drove along the coastal road and found the Roberts Creek Provincial Park. This entire area attracts a good deal of tourism in the summer so this time of year finds those same places somewhat empty of people. Except for one other person, this place was mine to play in.
After many angles, and numerous shots, this is the image that was in my mind. The sweeping stone stairs on a hill had drawn my attention, with the carpet of Autumn leaves laying undisturbed. Their vivid colors were in stark contrast to the grey stairs, while the fence and green foliage would support them in the background. I wanted to exaggerate the stairs and how they swept across the view so getting close with a wide angle lens was necessary. It was a fun afternoon with the time needed to find what lay behind the camera.
How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.

Today it was probably the most beautiful photosession, my beloved fog, a great, soft light and I stood up in time :-)
Hope you like it as I do
The sunlight was casting the shadow of a tree on a carpet of ‘Dokudami’ in full bloom. Houttuynia cordata (‘Dokudami’ in Japanese) is a common ground-covering weed native to eastern Asia. It is also known as one of the most popular medical herbs in Japan.
Some of the lake surroundings is covered with thick layer of grass. It seams like nature likes carpets too.
Last light of the day shining on the carpet of autumn leaves.
Taking a late afternoon walk has its rewards even if it means getting caught in rush-hour traffic on the way home.
Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. The tall structure in the background is Ghanta Ghar, also known as the clock tower of Rajasthan.
Surrounding the tower is Sadar Market where many locals and tourists sell, buy and hang out to people watch.
After a gloomy morning the sun came out in the afternoon and Linus enjoyed the lovely weather in his garden. While he was watching a neighbour repairing his fence, I could take this photo of Linus showing his lionesque winter coat which will soon be distributed generously over carpets, furniture and my clothes to make room for the summer outfit.
Many times walking in the cities, the cement view makes me feel bad. I'm looking for some color. Apartment buildings look like ugly boxes. But what I like is that sometimes I find in apartments a little color. It can be a colorful blanket, a carpet, flower pots… So I made an album with such photos. I’m thinking... How beautiful our cities would be if they looked like the one that Jacques Stefanou sings to us!

~~~Η πόλη των χρωμάτων~~~
Όμορφη μου πόλη
έχεις γίνει γκρι και φεύγουν όλοι
βόλτα στις ταράτσες
βγαίνω το πρωί σε βλέπω όλη
γκρι είναι οι δρόμοι
γκρι κι όλοι αυτοί
που περπατάνε
μες τα γκρίζα σπίτια τους
γκρι θα μιλούν γκρι θα αγαπάνε
Μα δε σ' αφήνω γλυκιά μου πόλη
νοικιάζω αεροπλάνο
σημάδι κάνω στο χάρτη
Παίρνω μαζί μου ουράνια τόξα
αυτή μου η λόξα γεμίζει με δόξα
το πάρτι
Κόκκινα πράσινα κίτρινα μπλε
σπίτια στους δρόμους
και αστυνόμους μπορντό
Παντού χαμόγελα
και χρώμα στα μαλλιά και τους ώμους
και ένας σκύλος καρό
Πορτοκαλί τα πεζοδρόμια
και οι τοίχοι γαλάζιοι
και τα περίπτερα ροζ
αυτή η πόλη κάθε μέρα μπορεί να αλλάζει
και να γεμίζει με φως
Όμορφη μου πόλη
γίνανε οι δρόμοι σου λιβάδια
οι πλατείες λίμνες και όλα τα σκουπίδια
πολύχρωμα ψάρια
τα αμάξια δέντρα και οι μηχανές
λουλούδια
όμορφη μου πόλη γίνανε οι κόρνες σου
τραγούδια
Και τότε όλοι
γλυκιά μου πόλη
και εκείνοι που κάθονται
κι αυτοί που όλη μέρα δουλεύουν
Καρδιές παράθυρα
και πόρτες ανοίγουν
πετάγονται έξω
γελούν τραγουδούν και χορεύουν
Κόκκινα πράσινα κίτρινα μπλε
σπίτια στους δρόμους
και αστυνόμους μπορντό
Παντού χαμόγελα
και χρώμα στα μαλλιά και τους ώμους
και ένας σκύλος καρό
Πορτοκαλί τα πεζοδρόμια
και οι τοίχοι γαλάζιοι
και τα περίπτερα ροζ
αυτή η πόλη κάθε μέρα μπορεί να αλλάζει
και να γεμίζει με φως
Garn Boduan is an Iron Age hillfort and hill near Nefyn, on the Llŷn Peninsula in Wales. In a survey in the 1950s the traces of over 170 round houses were identified on this site, and around 100 round houses are still visible on the ground. Between 100 and 400 people may have lived in this fort.
