... la fleur de la Sarracénie pourpre est originaire de l'Amérique

du Nord. La Sarracénie produit généralement une fleur dans l'année, parfois deux. Celles ci sont composées de cinq pétales rouges foncés; elles se courbent vers l'intérieur et viennent entourer le pistil vert qui se termine par un style énorme en forme d'étoile. Les étamines entourent l'ovaire , qui se trouve entre la corole du haut et à la base du pistil caché derrière le style du bas.

We came across this nice group of lion while driving through the Masai Mara. Obviously they had a great time being lazy! :D)

Il y a des animaux magnifiques au Zoo de Bâle que je n'aurais aucune chance de croiser dans les vergers qui m'entourent....

C'est triste qu'ils ne soient pas en liberté, je le conçois, mais ils intègrent aussi des programmes de survie des espèces dans les zoos.

It's sad that they are not released, I conceive, they also incorporate species survival programs in zoos.

It is called the pitcher plant because part of it can fill with water. Insects trapped in the water and the plant eats them.

Plante carnivore.Les insectes curieux s'y aventurent, tombent dans l'eau et la plante les mange.

The sunlight was warm and bright on a September morning at the Denver Zoo, Colorado. The Cheetah could barely stay awake, but for a moment she regally sat up to survey her environment before returning to her nap.
