I was tearing up cardboard boxes to recycle when I noticed the beautiful shapes and textures. This is a stack of three pieces, spread out to show the textures.
A big wad of flattened cardboard boxes that is too big to fit into the bin. It is standing stacked between the bin and the wall, waiting for recycling bin day.
Vasia loves cardboard boxes, but in few minutes begins to claw and tear the box.... See the next picture, please!
Thank you all for visits, faves and comments! It's greatly appreciated!
White crayon on black cardboard, one LED lamp. Imagine a space of total equality and perfect non-distinction. The space would not be empty, but everything in it - energy and matter - would be completely evenly distributed. Because of this, there would be no movement, no energy consumed or generated. Therefore no heat and no light and no life. It would be the end. The space could be our universe, and its death.
These cardboard figures are waiting for tourists (and perhaps for better times) behind a window in the courtyard of the old Zsolnay factory (now cultural centre) in Pécs, Hungary.

An infrared image taken last year that I looked at again and now like. The soft focus effect with the back lighting works i think. I wasn't convinced before. It was a non shot to me.

Vajdahunyad Castle is wildly unlike any of the ancient medieval stone castles I photographed on my recent trip to Ireland. This castle was created out of cardboard and wood in 1896 as part of the Hungarian Millennial Exhibition celebrating 1000 years since the Hungarian Conquest.
The complex of buildings, designed by architect Ignác Alpár, showcased a variety of Hungarian architectural styles. The attraction was to be temporary, but it was so popular that it was later renovated as a permanent structure.
The main part of the castle is taken up by the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture, the biggest agricultural museum in Europe.
In Paris, under the bridges where the hot air of the subway air conditioning systems is discharged, the homeless are stationed with their cardboard beds looking for a bit of warmth. But the system tries to send them away and when the street sweepers come to clean the streets, even those poor cartons are swept away.
