This is part of a card distributed to visitors to the School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at Georgia Tech. It shows microneedles used for drug delivery being held between thumb and forefinger. A flash drive unfolds from the top of the card.

Cutting out shapes in different coloured pieces of card, then arranging them on top of each other, layering them to create simple abstractions for the camera's lens to capture. It's not as easy as it might seem in the mind... Rulers and measurements are needed to align the 2D and 3D aspects of the shapes… And card warps when left standing on its side for too long, so lines are never quite as straight as a ruler.

An abstract shot of my old graphics card for this week's Macro Mondays theme of 'Handle with Care'. Circuit boards are notoriously vulnerable to static and are quite fragile. I used some cat toys to make an interesting background and a Canon EF100mm f/2.8L lens strapped to 52mm of extension tubes giving a magnification of roughly x1.47. 10 natural light exposures at f/5.6 combined in Zerene Stacker.
