When you are turning the chamfers on the right edge of your part with 80º triangular carbide inserts, it's always hard to position the cutting tool because of its thickness. Here you can see pretty small clearance between the tool and part fixture (expanding mandrel)
This is what I've got on the outer 2.5" diameter @500 rpm and 0.04" cut. Looks like microscopic thread, isn't it?

I had to turn this @550 rpm, because nobody knows, how secure is the chuck dog @1020 rpm, so I had to play with cutting depth to get some good surface finish. 0.05" cut seems to be too aggressive, while 0.03-0.04 gives pretty good shiny finish.
