Robin has started "reading" this book to me, shaking her fists at the monkeys when she gets to those pages, throwing caps on the ground when she gets to that page.

Greens/EFA MEPs rallied outside European Parliament this morning and met with NGOs to support their calls for genuine CAP reform.
The vote for the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy will take place tomorrow from noon, Wednesday 13th March.
The vote in the Agricultural committee in January unravelled the European Commission's somewhat Green leaning proposal on CAP reform and resulted in an even less ambitious text.
Our MEPs are are now working to change the trend of the vote in committee.
A real Green and Fair CAP reform must focus on two points:
1. REAL GREENING : No to the "less money, no greening approach"
2. FAIRNESS: There is enough money for a greener and solidarity focused CAP

Today the Illawarra Knitting Nannas Against Gas, (IKNAG), held a knit-in outside the office of the Federal deputy leader of the opposition, Ms Tanya Plibersek, in Broadway.
“We had already contacted Ms Plibersek with our 2 questions asking her for simple yes or no answers” said Nanna Annie Marlow, “ Question 1/ Do you support a ban on CSG mining in drinking water catchment? And 2/ Would you move legislation for such a ban? We know how busy she is campaigning and so couldn’t see us, but really, she left us 1 & half pages of waffle words about ‘gunnas’ and half policies. A long, long yarn not worth knitting, so to speak.”

This man had thoroughly protected himself against the Amsterdam drizzle. I just followed him, not knowing exactly why I took these pictures. Only later, on my computer screen, I read the text on his cap, which he wears backwards: it says 'Illusion'.
