Dusk was just around the corner as we head off for Clark Field, Pampanga. But if you're a Filipino, instinct tells you to stop here.
This place was once Camp O'Donnel, built by the USAFFE(United States Armed Forces in the Far East) and overran by the Japanese Imperial forces in the early months of the second world war. This was later the final destination of USAFFE prisoners of war -- Filipino and American soldiers who participated in the death march. Many would die here due to hunger, torture, starvation and inhumane treatment.
Fast forward -- 60 years later we even have nude and prostitution bars in downtown Manila that has signboards saying "Only Japanese Are Allowed", and accepts Japanese guests only(yes, no locals). Japs or No Japs prostitution is a problem indirectly propagated by this country and its photographers too. What a shame, all their expensive DSLRs can do is take photos of exploited Filipina low-class and high class prostitutes(sometimes spelled as professional models) -- contributing to this bastardly problem. You can either call it Filipino hospitality, Filipino forgiveness, or Filipino stupidity. And yes, Filipinos had lots of it, which is why sometimes, the Philippines and its citizens doesn't get the respect they should deserve from the international community. The 1986 drama(heck, it never was a revolution) was a big fluke. The Philippines needs a rude and cruel awakening. An awakening soaked with blood. A reign of terror and a painful rebirth.

I was hoping the child would raise his head to match that of the child in the photo on the right - but it wasn't to be!
