I finally managed to sneak down the Kukui Trail and found some nice clouds here at Waimea Canyon. Then the sun broke through clouds and cast some cool and interesting light over the landscape. After reviewing this photo, I wished I had taken out the 70-200 to pick the landscape apart piece by piece, but alas, Live and learn. :)

A narrow gorge descends into Bryce Canyon National Park at Sunset Point. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz filters.
I took this picture in Arizona while sitting on the very edge of the canyon and enjoying the wind on my skin !
There's something quite relaxing about this place.

Pese a su nombre, Bryce Canyon (Utah) no es un cañón propiamente dicho porque la causante de la erosión es la lluvia, que produce estas formaciones llamadas "hoodoos" o chimeneas de hadas.

Il Parco Nazionale del Bryce Canyon è un piccolo parco nazionale situato nel sud-ovest degli Stati Uniti nello stato dello Utah. L'area protetta comprende il celebre Bryce Canyon che, nonostante il nome, non è propriamente un canyon ma un enorme anfiteatro originatosi dall'erosione del settore orientale del Paunsaugunt Plateau.
Il Bryce Canyon è celebre per i caratteristici pinnacoli, gli hoodoos, prodotti dall'erosione delle rocce sedimentarie fluviali e lacustri, erosione dovuta all'azione di acque, vento e ghiaccio. Le rocce hanno un'intensa colorazione che varia dal rosso, all'arancio al bianco..
