This Pillars of Justice statue in front of the Courthouse, at 361 University Avenue, represents a jury. There is one space that does not hold a figure and you are supposed to imagine yourself there.

Perhaps you could say the "client" role was reversed as I had a very pleasant day shooting at the law firm Moores Andrews Collins for some of their new up and coming promotional material. ....Designed by Burke & Horwood in 1895, a more intimate Oak paneled library room....Originally built to house American legal materials, Ontario laws are based on British Common law, but also reported decisions from other common law jurisdictions, such as the United States, as sources of "persuasive authority" decisions that relate to a legal system close to Canada's, that are a useful source of legal inspiration....

One of the reasons for WW2 was to prevent Hitler and his Nazi methodology being used on "undesirables" - the weak, mentally ill, diasabled babies, and anyone else by government. Today we have his secret admirers proposing euthanasia in our enlightened civilized society. Or is it because of the money the governments will save by this expedient "final solution."

"Legalizing euthanasia means that our law will be changed to approve of one person killing another person, and also that person will be a doctor," said Medical ethicist Margaret Somerville.

What is being proposed in Quebec is a sly tactical move designed to promote the legalization of euthanasia which is currently illegal under Canadian law.
