Day 320 of 365
I was going to participate in Flickr Group Roulette tonight and do another FUTAB, but considering that all of my free time has been absorbed by this little project that I've taken on. So far I have had no luck with it. Last night I got the delay working, but then I ran out of wire. When I put in the sound trigger nothing worked. Maybe because I used copper wire instead of the wire that they provided I shorted something out, or maybe I killed the timing chip. Truthfully, I don't know enough about electronics to know. I followed the directions exactly step by step so it should work, but it could be that it is the wire that is causing the problem. I'm going to have to shoot an e-mail over to the company that I got it from and see if they can help me out. If not, I have a few buddies that know more about this stuff than I do, so maybe they can help me out. I will eventually get this all figured out.

Seems that my Ruggard Commando 36 DSLR Shoulder Bag from B&H Photo can carry most of my gear - but not all of it. Maybe Wanda wants me to get a bigger bag. Who am I to say no!
Vintage store advertisement printed on heavy cardboard for Kodak Film. Great vintage advertising and graphics. Nice touch with the woman in black and white and the Kodak label in color. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!
Three more wooden shutter buttons by themoregooder arrived this afternoon. I love his packaging! This batch includes the No Nazis button.

The kid on the left seemed to be in the store all the time. He wasn't, but he seemed to be to us. Being Christmas break from school, he would drop by Woolco and talk with us to the point of annoyance. He was twelve years old, though he looked more like 16. He also smoked, though you don't see him holding a cigarette here. (In 1973 smoking was allowed in public places and no one enforced any laws about people under 21 buying cigarettes.)
His father ran the Big Boy's restaurant in the mall, just outside our mall entrance. He always appeared in jeans and a fatigue jacket. This photo was taken shortly after the kid had seen "The Sting," hence his hat. He loved the movie so much he wanted to look like the characters in it. No, he just looked like a character.
The guy with the yellow print dress shirt was named Mark; I don't remember his last name. He helped in both cameras and sporting goods. The kid was asking questions about our merchandise, mostly the accessories, just to kill time. This being between Christmas and New Year's, things were kind of slow and quiet. The kid wasn't a troublemaker, he just had nothing to do and nowhere to go, and his dad probably wanted him to stay out of the restaurant, as he was too young to be employed there anyway.
I wanted to render the flesh tones as close as possible to what they really were, but I ended up putting too much yellow into the florescent lights. But it was either that or have flesh tones that were too much pink or magenta.
This photo was taken with a Minolta SLR, using Kodak Ektachrome Tungsten balanced film, rated at ASA 160, captured with a Minolta 50mm lens.
Shown mounted to an early 1960s Kiev 4A camera, this auxiliary finder was originally a reasonable copy of a similar finder made for pre-WWII Contax rangefinder cameras, Soviet Russia's KMZ made incremental improvements to the German design with the result being this very nice turret viewfinder. While the ocular is rather squinty, the finder is bright and optically quite good. Rather than using a projected or albedo view frame, this finder has clear area with cross-hairs surrounded by a patterned overlay. Supported 24x36mm field of views include 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and 135mm, all with partial (vertical only) parallax correction.

When two beautiful women start kissing for your camera, I’ve learned to just shut up and hold down the shutter.
My D200 is currently broken. My lightbox is on its last legs. The lens I use is damaged. I make do anyway. I was shooting this event shutter priority and, of course, I oversaturated the image, because I prefer it that way.
See what i think (through my review) of the Nikon Nikkor 16mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lense.

Je me suis finalement résolu à faire une photo de ma caméra Hasselblad. J'en ai eu quelques autres auparavant, mais c'est la première que j'achète neuve. Forcé d'admettre, cette marque est légendaire!
I finally decided to take a picture of my Hasselblad camera. I’ve had a few others before, but this is the first one I buy new. Forced to admit, this brand is legendary!

Trees on an island in the Bow River shrouded in fog, Bowmont Park, Calgary.
I love looking at this forested island ( I can see it out my front window). Normally I shoot it with some nearer foreground element, but since the river is frozen I decided get out on the ice and shoot a really hi-res stitched photograph of this riparian ecosystem in the fog.
Shot with my Toyo-Field 45AX large-format body with a Fotodiox 4x5 to Canon adaptor and my EOS M5. 12 frames were stitched together to form a 157.8 megapixel image.
