This photo is dedicated to Eva and Olivia because both lovely girls were so sweet and gave me some very helpful tips about focusing properly with selfs (something that I have always struggled with) and I was able to put them into practice a LOT when on vacation for two weeks :) You will see! I tried to get a soft shot from this part of the coast, but it was not possible at first, because of the hard light and it was quite crowded, too.
After hours the szene got the right mood, and the poeple went home, a small overexposure, and i had the shot i would like to have. It´s one if my fav´s, hope you like it, too.

I photographed her in my Arkansas yard, where cardinals are a constant presence. The females may not be as flashy as the males, but their subtle coloring is just as beautiful.

This Carolina Chickadee perched briefly on a thin branch, giving me just enough time to capture its curious look.
I photographed it in my yard, where these little birds often flit between shrubs and feeders. The soft green background helped isolate the chickadee nicely in the frame.
Carolina Chickadees are small, active songbirds known for their black caps and cheerful calls. Despite their size, they’re bold and inquisitive, often sticking around to investigate nearby movement.
