Right across the street from the hotel we were staying in was a cemetery with lots of trees that were showing off amazing autumn colors. We couldn't resist checking it out...

Cadillac Mountain is an example of American hyperbole, it's actually a decent sized hill in the middle of Acadia National Park in Maine . However it does give you some good vistas over the park. I know its a popular place to watch sunrise and sunset a feat I never quite managed

THANKS FOR YOUR VISITING BUT CAN I ASK YOU NOT TO FAVE AN IMAGE WITHOUT ALSO MAKING A COMMENT. MANY THANKS KEITH.

ANYONE MAKING MULTIPLE FAVES WITHOUT COMMENTS WILL SIMPLY BE BLOCKED

This amazing and quirky place was at the top of my “must see” list on our recent Route 66 road trip. I had seen many photos of it, and knew that I just had to visit the Cadillac Ranch. It is on the outskirts of Amarillo, Texas, and we tried to see it on our way to Sedona. However, a large truck had overturned and the road was closed! I was promised that we could stop on our way back home, and that we did! It was every bit as fantastic as I thought it would be! The great beasts were covered with layers of graffiti and paint. As the Texas wind tried to blow me in to one of the empty cars, my dream of photographing the Cadillac Ranch came true....here’s the proof!

As sunset approached took this view from Cadillac Mountain with the thin moisture flowing over the pretty rocks. The rocks are a pink color but have the green growth on them as well making for a pretty mix of color. Also really enjoyed the fog and clouds over the lower lake and peaks seen from the top of this mountain there in Maine.

This Cadillac must be one of the longest cars ever produced.
