We went to a summer camp north of Tábor where they have an old wooden post office that was disassembled on the top of Sněžka and moved there, and just about 1000 meters away was a short drive across a field to this ski lift. We were told by a guy who I think is the groundskeeper at the summer camp that they're trying to make this area like the Czech Aspen (which he took issue with).
